 Professionals
are hired to organize the campus for the students to have a
better learning environment. KMU is the first college campus
in Taiwan with an outdoor gym for basketball. A trail of red
bricks that divides the pedestrian path and car has the original
idea to redecorate the campus. "Medical
Humanity Boards" are gathered among the campus to
build and strength on the evolutionary changes of the school.
Historical Landmarks, such as our ancient coconut trees that
currently are standing tall and proud on our Albert Schweitzer
Avenue," lovers path, Li Shue Building, Ji Si Building...
etc are all memorable items.
In order to cultivate independent thinking, establish culture
learning and extensive General education, we have hired a full
time art teacher, constructed diverse General Education courses,
such as Emotional Control, The study of Life and Death, Communication
classes.. .etc. Every year, we have invited prominent speakers
and group to present a selection of various speeches, concerts
and other artistic activities, such as piano concert by Mr.
Rudiger Steinfatt from German, Chen Kuan-yu's piano and Chen
Yi-Ting flute ... etc., to make our school's undisputed position
known to the traditional medical status.
By fulfilling our social responsibilities, we have cooperated
with Taiwan News to create the KMU New Century Speech column.
Not only will the school staff members be able to contribute
their ideas, but also be informed of the events as well. Bring
Vienna Children's Choir Concert to KMU is an inspiring way to
provide funding for children with cancer. Not only did the Choir
bring pleasure into children's life but also fill the campus
with youthful voice and spirit.
The graduation in June 2002 was honored by the appearance of
President Chen Shui-Bien. KMU has presented the President with
a doctor's robe while he made a comparison of how he governs
the country as doctor treats the patients in his speech. Additionally
the graduates were encouraged to use their knowledge wisely
and contribute it back to the society. |
